What's Next?

Original Work Focused:

Originally, when I selected my topic, I was exploring marketing and what has already been discovered and created. Researching existing articles and interviewing professionals about what they learned in college gave me an understanding more of the past and present of marketing.

When the Original Work project preparation began, I struggled with finding how I could contribute to marketing today, as my exploration of the field was limited to what had already been contributed. After speaking with my peers and professionals, I was able to understand the so-called "cutting-edge" of marketing. After further research, I was able to connect some of the information I gathered from the articles and books, and formulate a product for my Original Work.

I plan to develop a database that will present the best marketing strategies and factors that best influence consumers pertaining to age group. My research and interviews failed to provide such a database and I believe it would be greatly beneficial since products target certain demographics and age is a large factor in this.

Later, I then recognized that even my digital portfolio better targets a certain age group than others. This may include font, color choice, ease of use, and word choice. By compiling this information and summarizing to the best factors and strategies to market to each age group, I believe it would greatly benefit the field of marketing.
