How Do I Tell Them?

Introductory Speech Focused:

In a room full of driven students, with a teacher who's seen many far more skilled and passionate people, and the internet that contains the talents and skills of billions of people, how do I tell them my story? How do I tell these hard-working, gifted students who I want to be? How do I tell this passionate, experienced teacher that I'm unique? How do I tell the internet I have the potential to be great? I have to say, it was intimidating. It's difficult to be seen as special or different in a world where people have achieved such great things.

Through creating my introductory speech, I was able to focus in on my story, and how I wanted to share it. I could've been boring and just listed my achievements and what career I want, but I realized that my achievements and career aren't far too unique or special.

I realized that to truly communicate who I am and to stand out, I had to tell my story in an interesting way that weaved my personality and my achievements in a concise speech that flowed seamlessly. This meant to bring out some of my greatest qualities like my humor, ability to modulate and keep an active voice, as well as describe the accomplishments I've earned in a method that connects them to my goal or past goals.

While creating my digital portfolio, I was able to develop a single place that showcased the best version of myself in an appealing, user-friendly way. This helped me take steps to make a portfolio that stands out and helps others discover who I am. My LinkedIn profile also helped me put myself in a place that would connect me professionally to network and develop my foundation in marketing.

In the end, how did I tell them? By being my best, true self.
